Everything you need to stay current, and nothing you don't.
Lapsebell is a focused tool: a list of what expires, reminders before it does, and a record of every renewal. Here is what's inside.
Items, grouped by who or what they belong to
Each item has a type, an expiry date and the details you'd otherwise dig for: license or policy number, issuing agency, state, issue date, renewal link and fee, notes and, on Pro, a copy of the document itself.
- Eight types: licenses, permits, inspections, certifications, certificates of insurance, vehicle registrations, contracts, other
- People & assets: the business, job sites, employees, vehicles, equipment, subcontractors
- Status at a glance: expired, due in 30 days, 31–90 days, current

The default is 30 and 7 days before expiry plus an expired notice the next day. On Pro and Team, choose any of 120, 90, 60, 45, 30, 14, 7, 3 or 1 days before, or the day itself, and keep getting a weekly nudge while something stays expired.
- Email reminders on every plan, and a Monday summary of the next 30 days
- Optional text message reminders on Pro and Team, per alert type
- Copy reminder emails to your office manager or bookkeeper
One click to renew, a calendar to plan
Mark an item renewed with its new expiry date and every reminder moves with it. The calendar shows the month ahead at a glance, and Pro gives you a private feed to subscribe to from Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
- Renewal history with on-time and late renewals
- Private iCal feed you can reset at any time
- Archive items you no longer need without deleting their history

Bring your spreadsheet, take your data anywhere
Upload a CSV with a name and an expiry date per row; types, people and vehicles are created as needed and any rows we can't read are listed with the reason. Analytics shows the next 12 months of expirations, renewal fees ahead and how often renewals happen on time.
- CSV import with a ready-made template, CSV export of everything
- 12-month expiry forecast, by type and by person or asset
- Public credentials page and website widget for license numbers
| Row | Problem |
|---|---|
| 17 | '13/45/2026' is not a date we can read. Use YYYY-MM-DD or MM/DD/YYYY. |
| 31 | Expiry date is empty. |
Questions we get
Does Lapsebell renew anything for me?
No. We track dates and remind you. Renewals are done with the issuing agency, insurer or vendor, and you record the new date in Lapsebell.
Do you check licenses with the state?
No. Items and dates are entered by you. The credentials page says the information is provided by your business.
Who receives text messages?
Only the account owner's mobile number, only if they opt in, and only on Pro or Team. Reply STOP to any message to stop.
Can my office manager get the reminders too?
Yes. On Pro add up to 2 extra email recipients, on Team up to 10. Text messages go only to the account owner.
What happens if I downgrade?
Your items and history stay. You can't add new items above the Free limit, and reminders fall back to the default 30 and 7 day schedule.
Is my data safe?
Everything is sent over HTTPS, documents are stored privately and only downloadable from your account, and we never sell or share your information.
