Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hydra Media LLC d/b/a Lapsebell ("Lapsebell", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use https://lapsebell.com and the Lapsebell service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, company name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash) and, if you provide it, your mobile phone number.
• Service data: the items you track (names, types, numbers, issuing agencies, dates and notes), the people, vehicles and locations you group them by, documents you upload, renewal history and the reminders we send.
• Additional recipients: email addresses you add to receive copies of reminder emails.
• Contact requests: the information you send through our Contact form.
• Text message consent records: when you opt in to or out of text messages we record the mobile number, the alert types selected, the date and time, the page or method used, the text of the disclosure shown, your IP address and browser user agent.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and server logs needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use information

• to track your items and send the reminders and alerts you choose by email or text message;
• to send account, security and billing notices;
• to answer support requests;
• to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell personal information.

3. Mobile information and text messages

We collect mobile numbers only to send the text messages you request under our SMS Terms. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf, solely to deliver them.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, by turning off text messages under Reminders & profile, or by contacting us.

4. Service providers

We use a limited number of providers to run the service: hosting and network providers, an email delivery provider, a text message delivery provider and, for paid plans, a payment processor. They process data only on our instructions and only as needed to provide their service to us.

5. Retention

Account data, tracked items, documents and reminder history are kept while your account is active. Text message consent and opt-out records are kept for at least five years after your last interaction so we can demonstrate consent and honor opt-outs. When you delete your account we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, uploaded documents are stored outside the public web root and can only be downloaded by the signed-in account owner, and access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

7. Your rights

You can access and update your information under Reminders & profile, and you may ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing [email protected]. California residents have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

8. Children

Lapsebell is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will also be emailed to account owners.
